MADISON, NEW JERSEY: Named after the fourth president of the United States, Madison Borough is also the home of three major academic institutions: Drew University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and St. Elizabeth’s College. The Borough is approximately four square miles in size which includes a Main Street business district with widely diversified shops and excellent restaurants. There are more than 101 acres of parks and public lands allocated for recreational use. Madison is an affluent residential community with an easy commute to Manhattan via the excellent train and bus transportation. The municipality offers a highly rated school system including a department of Special Services (child study team for the learning disabled). Newark Liberty International Airport is a twenty-minute drive away. Two train lines funnel into Madison: Midtown Direct moving directly into Penn Station located in Midtown Manhattan and New Jersey Transit’s original line which carries passengers into Hoboken where PATH trains connect to lower Manhattan and Wall Street. Direct access to Routes 24, I-78, I-287, I-280 connect Madison to the major metropolitan network.
